most hand made... which parts? ( this wanabee Jack Sparrow cosplayer would like to ask for a few tips )
SodiRyfe Featured By Owner Apr 11, 2010
the vest is hand made from a navy cotton material , no suede backing yet , The shirt is an 18th century used for drama , i tore the sleeves wider and dirtied it up with cold tea bags/rubble and Boiled up soil .
the boots , they are boot .3. had overall cover for shoes but i haven't built them yet since its hard !
Trousers brought at a fair trade store , sash material store then treaded the ends , Belts brought from ebay , The sword belt is smaller than the actuall one , Wig is a normal brunnette wig , then ordered bangs/dreadlocks and medallion/shiny parts , Compass and rings are brought from a toy store then ruffen up ~ Make-up...The most hardest part to make it all possible *Plus the moustache and beard got them from a guy on ebay 20 ,* Make up i learned from a man on Youtube .
Priced in total : 250-300
hope that covered some questions for ya~

well what do you want to know about exactly on which part?
Cus i'l be writing more than a 1000 words here.

another thing i can cover easy is the make up and the idea's
I used this first of all , It works for the make up but after awhile you're face will melt

This one works much better but stings and costs a lot more D:

Well my first concerns are the actual costume, as im far from the make-up part ^^;

It's that i have a lot of white material, and i mean a LOT, but i've no idea where to start on my Sparrow shirt... i have quite some leather ( well fake leather but it looks ok ) but no idea on where to start making the Tricorne hat and so on
SodiRyfe Featured By Owner Apr 12, 2010
the hat I brought from ebay again ages ago , But i took fine sand paper and shoe polish to dirty it up and scrapp it up so it look like it's been torn up and such.
Scallywag brown A3460

Alot of my stuff is brought/Modified and then some was done from scratch ,main things were the jacket , belts vest and shirt /rings .But i did major searching to get cheapest deals and that was when 1 was equal to $2.

prices range from 20-30

the shirt i did , There are sewing patterns everywhere on google when you type in 18th medevil drama shirt patterns.

Then another is this:

It has been awhile for me so remembering my build up for this is not as good .

If you did build the tricorn hat you'd need : a sewing machine , elastic 1mtr , A leather needle , fake suede can vary from 3-6 , Thin metal wire to keep the hat stiff .
